Hilary Heieck is a former two-year captain, first team All-ACC starting point guard for Duke University who led her team to the program’s first-ever Final Four appearance in 1999. Graduating from Duke as the all-time assists leader, the New York native played professionally in Norrkoping, Sweden for a season before an ankle injury ended her playing career.
Armed with a M.S. in Communications Management from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse, Heieck has worked in the marketing and communications arena for more than 15 years including helping launch Pac-12 Networks in August of 2012 and consulting for The Pebble Beach Company.
Heieck started her career with Total Sports, a media-sports information company located in Raleigh, North Carolina, where among other duties she wrote and reported for finalfour.net, the official website of the NCAA Tournament at the time. She has a diverse background in publishing, brand management, social media strategy, media campaigns, management of marketing agencies and strategic public relations.
Heieck served as a marketing consultant for The Pebble Beach Company and Globicon, and works with the women’s basketball programs at Duke University, USC, Oregon State University, University of Kentucky and California-Berkeley. She resides in Pacific Grove, California with her husband and two children.
